About SoParse

What we do

SoParse is a free online tool for parsing and watermark-free downloading of videos. It supports Chinese platforms such as Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Kuaishou, Bilibili and Weibo, as well as international platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter) and Facebook. Just paste the share link of public content to preview and save HD video or audio in your browser, no software, no registration.

Our mission

To make saving a public video simple, clean and trustworthy: one page, one paste, done on a single screen, without piling on pop-ups and ads or requesting permissions unrelated to the function.

Technology & privacy

• Parsing happens in server memory and results are streamed back via temporary links or a proxy; we do not store any video, image or audio you parse.
• No registration; we collect no name, email or social account, and only use local storage to remember your theme and language.
• HD videos (e.g. YouTube 1080p) are merged server-side with ffmpeg so the file plays right after download.
• To prevent abuse and bot mass-requests, some actions trigger a Cloudflare Turnstile human check. It only verifies that you're a real person, collects none of your identity, and once passed you can use the site normally.

Open source & licenses

Parsing is powered in part by open-source projects: international platforms by cobalt (AGPL-3.0, official build, unmodified) and Chinese platforms by parse-video-py (MIT). YouTube sessions are generated by yt-session-generator (AGPL-3.0), which we modified slightly; the modified source is published. The PO Token required for YouTube downloads is provided by bgutil-ytdlp-pot-provider (GPL-3.0). Icons use Tabler Icons (MIT), the video player uses Plyr (MIT), and the UI is built on Vue and other open-source libraries. All rights belong to their respective authors.
